Blue Flag beaches have to have bathroom facilities and disabled access as well as environmental information, clean water, lifeguards and drinking water. Here's the Full List of criteria.

In 2018, 15 Gran Canaria beaches and two Gran Canaria marinas earned Blue Flag awards, more than in any of the other Canary Islands.

Stunning Las Canteras beach is over 3 km long with plenty of restaurants and facilities all along the promenade. A perfect beach for everyone.

Popular with kitesurfers at its southern end, the north tip of east coast El Burrero beach is sandy and sheltered.
